I.T Protective Security Services (ITPSS) Sdn Bhd
I.T Protective Security Services (ITPSS) Sdn Bhd and UBD are committed to enhancing I.T Security and cybersecurity in response to the ever-evolving cyber threats and challenges that require continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration. Cybersecurity is closely linked to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), particularly in safeguarding the privacy and security of personal information. Moreover, teaching cybersecurity at UBD is crucial for raising awareness and equipping the future generations with the skills needed to use technology securely, aligning with SDG 4 (Quality Education).
Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART)
Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) as part of a new collaboration with UBD’s Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research (IBER) and the Brunei Forestry Department on a research project entitled “New Techniques for Monitoring Carbon Stock and Flux in Southeast Asia using Spaceborne SAR and LiDAR Observations.” The project focuses on automating new remote sensing techniques to measure tropical peatland carbon stocks and ecosystem changes, using InSAR, LiDAR, an ground truthing in Brunei’s peat swamps. It supports SDG 15, which promotes sustainable terrestrual ecosystems, forests and biodiversity.
Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC)
Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC) and UBD signed a MoU that enables collaboration on academic, research, and technological projects, fostering innovation and growth. It focuses on the MBA program at UBD, designed to equip students with leadership skills, industry connections, and practical experience. The partnership with MPC will offer internships, study visits, training, and industrial engagement opportunities. The focus on academic and research collaboration, innovation, and development links closely to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by fostering advanced knowledge, leadership skills, and industry connections. The emphasis on industrial engagement, internships, and training ties to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), as it promotes practical skills, employment opportunities, and industry partnerships for sustainable economic development.
Recognising the importance of leveraging local expertise and resources, UBD has developed two key platforms: the UBD Expert Directory and the University and Industry (U&I) Platform. These platforms facilitate seamless communication between UBD and industry partners. Through the U&I Platform, industries can:

- Explore and access services and training tailored to meet their organisational needs
