UBD Sustainability Staff Ambassador
The UBD Sustainability Staff Ambassadors serves as the key driver and coordinator of sustainability initiatives within Faculties, Institutes, Centres and Offices (FICOs). The role advances the integration of UBD’s LEARN (Research & Education), LIVE (Infrastructure, Operations & Governance), and LEAD (Community Engagement) pillars, ensuring that sustainability is embedded across all levels of the university.
Sustainability Staff Ambassadors support the alignment of unit-level initiatives with the UBD Sustainability Masterplan and Action Plan. They facilitate coordination, monitor progress, and contribute to institutional reporting to ensure measurable and meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the respective FICO and the UBD Sustainability Office (OAVCRIS).
- Support the implementation, coordination, promotion, data collection and reporting of sustainability-related initiatives across all pillars.
- Monitor progress and submit periodic updates, supporting documentation and evidence through the UBD Sustainability Data Sharing Portal.
- Communicate and showcase sustainability initiatives and success stories through digital and outreach platforms.
- Actively participate in university-wide sustainability programmes, training sessions and campaigns.
Through this structured network of Ambassadors, UBD adopts a whole-of-university approach to advancing sustainability – strengthening accountability, fostering a culture of responsible practice and supporting the University’s 2030 sustainability targets.
